Ronald Regan Washington National Airport, usually known as “Reagan” or “National”, is located in Arlington, VA, and is easily accessible from DC by the Blue and Yellow Lines of the Metrorail system. Only a limited number of flights are allowed to fly to destinations further than 1250 miles, so travel options can be limited, and ticket prices often become expensive.
Regan is a focus airport for US Airways, but flights beyond the 1250 mile limit are currently limited to Phoenix, Las Vegas, Seattle/Tacoma, Los Angeles, Denver, and Salt Lake City.
The Metro can be inconvenient if you have luggage, so a taxi is another possibility. The cost to get to downtown DC will typically be less than $20. (More about taxi fares)
