DC Air Transportation

Three commercial airports service the Washington DC Metropolitan area, providing access to the US capital from locations near and far. Ronald Reagan National Airport (Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport), located just minutes from DC in Arlington, Virginia, provides convenient, typically shorter ranged flights. Dulles (Dulles International Airport) and Baltimore Washington International Airport (Baltimore Washington International Airport) are further away, located in Virginia and Maryland respectively. They both provide flights to destinations throughout the US and internationally.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is the closest commercial airport to Washington DC, and is currently the only airport with a Metro station, Reagan Station. The airport provides many regional flights, as well as a few cross-country.

Dulles International Airport

Washington Dulles International Airport is the Washington DC metro area's largest airport. About 24 miles outside of DC, it is a major hub airport with both domestic and international service to a large array of destinations.

Baltimore Washington International Airport

Baltimore/Wasington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, located about 32 miles north of Washington DC, provides domestic and international flights to and from the DC area. While not as convenient to get to from DC as the regions other commercial airports, there are several transportation options available.
