Other DC Museums and Galleries
No visit to DC is complete without a stop in one of the many museums, or art galleries. The Smithsonian Institution oversees many of the most popular, including a number located on the National Mall. There are many others are run by the government, city, or independently.
Located in Penn Quarter, the Newseum offers a variety of high quality exhibits on news media's role in current and historic events in both the US and the world.
The Anderson House includes a museum and library administered by the Society of the Cincinnati, and focuses on the American Revolution and the ideals of the Continental Army.
The Art Museum of the Americas is an art museum and gallery run by the Organization of American states, displaying art from nations in the North and South Americas.
