Part of the Organization of American States, the Art Museum of the Americas displays a collection of art from North and South American nations. It is a small museum, featuring a single exhibition and a permanent collection with a variety of Caribbean and Latin American artwork. The museum, opened in 1976, is located on the grounds of the Organization of American States, an organization promoting solidarity and negotiation between 35 states in the western hemisphere.
