The Washington Nationals are a Major League Baseball team in the National League's Eastern Division are based in Washington DC. The team plays out of Nationals Park in South East Washington DC, in the Navy Yard area, on the northwest bank of the Anacostia river.

Getting to Nationals Park

There are many options for getting to Nationals Park. The area often becomes very busy on gamedays, so any transportation option can take longer than usual. Be sure to plan accordingly.

Metro

The Navy Yard Station on the Green Line is located less than a block from Nationals Park, making it an excellent option when traveling to the park.

DC Circulator

The DC Circulator consists of several bus lines in downtown DC that visits key attraction areas in Washington DC. The Union Station - Navy Yard Station line stops at the ballpark and has increased service during games.

Metrobus

Several bus lines stop at the ballpark, including 74, A42, A46, A48, P6, V7, V8 and V9.

Driving

There are several parking options around the ballpark. See their website for details. Some parking tickets may be purchased ahead of time. Many arteries in the area are likely to be delayed prior and after gametime. Some streets around the park are also closed 3 hours before - 3 hours after games.

Tips

  • Valet bicycle parking is available in Garage C at the corner of N Street, SE and 1st Street, SE.
  • Orange and Blue line riders (especially eastbound) may choose to walk north about 1 mile to Capitol South Station to avoid large crowds to and at the transfer at L'Enfant Station.
