The White House is the home of the President of the United States, and is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The 18 acre White House grounds include the north and south lawns, the Rose Garden, the Kennedy Garden, a swimming pool, basketball court, and tennis court. The Ellipse, a public park just south of the White House, is home to many events and monuments,a s well as the permanently planted National Christmas Tree.
